Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kristina Kallhoff
My name is Kristina Kallhoff and I am so excited to teach 3rd grade at West Elementary this year! Over the past 22 years, I have taught preschool, first grade, second grade, third grade, and fourth grade. I have served as an ARI reading coach and reading and math interventionist for grades 2nd-6th. I also served as an instructor for three colleges teaching corrective reading, supervising student internships, and coordinating the University of West Alabama’s Black Belt Teacher Corps. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a Reading Specialist Master’s degree. I have been trained in Dyslexia and other reading difficulty interventions. I enjoy teaching math investigations and building critical thinking science skills through STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) activities and lessons. Tell me and I forget; Teach me and I may remember; Involve me and I learn! I have been married to Mr. Kallhoff for 23 years and we have 4 beautiful children: Carson (18), Karalynn (15), John Curtis (13), and Anna Claire (10). In my spare time, I love going to the beach and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with my new students and West family!
