  • The pre-registration link will be live at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13th.  If you have accessed this page prior to 9:00 a.m., you may need to refresh your browser to view the link.

We will soon begin the registration process for Cullman City School PALS (Playing and Learning Side by Side) Program for the 2023-2024 school year. This is an inclusive preschool program for 3 and 4-year-olds with and without disabilities.  The program emphasizes learning through a play-based, child–initiated approach.  Daily activities are based on Alabama State Department of Education Preschool Standards.  Program hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.  Children should be picked up by 2:40 p.m. each day. There is no extended day for the PALS program. The fee per month to participate in PALS is $3000 ($150 per month for the children of full-time CCS employees). The program is for current CCS employees and current Cullman City residents who have eligible children. For students who receive special education services, the IEP team will determine if placement in this program is needed to meet the unique needs of each child. The IEP team may determine that another environment is a more appropriate setting for the child to receive special education services. Children may continue to receive services in the PALS classroom until they are eligible for kindergarten.

Parents of typically developing preschool children may begin the application process utilizing the on-line pre-registration form that will be linked on this page beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13th through Friday, February 24, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Applications will be emailed to registrants at the close of the pre-registration window. Completed applications must be returned to the Student Services Department within one week of the date they are emailed to the parents in order to be considered.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.  Currently, enrolled children do not have to reapply. Waiting lists are not maintained from year to year, so a new application must be submitted annually.  Parents will be notified whether or not their child has been accepted into the program after their child’s completed application is reviewed.
