Effective Jan. 1, 2019, Cullman City Schools will transition to a new electronic form distribution program called PeachJar, transitioning from distributing paper flyers to electronic flyers at school sites. Flyers from community organizations will be distributed through email and posted on school websites. This is part of our ongoing effort to go paperless as a school district: to save nearly 420,000 sheets of paper per year as well as the administrative burden and cost associated with distributing paper flyers during school hours.

    Community Groups and Outside Organizations

Our district cooperates with approved community partners by posting e-flyers online and distributing them electronically through our service provider, Peachjar. As part of our effort to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.
To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all parents and posted online. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.

    1 - Visit
2 - Register as an Enrichment / Community Org. (account type).
3 - Upload your flyer for approval.

Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the district office. District staff will review the material and approve or deny. Peachjar charges a fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school.

If you have questions about submitting a flyer, please contact Kellie Brosamer at

NOTE: If you are a non-profit parent group at one of our schools, these instructions do not apply.

    Paper Copies
Once the flyer is uploaded to Peachjar and it appears on school websites, this will indicate approval. No paper copies will be given to teachers or staff to distribute to students for taking home.

    Electronic Flyer Guidelines:

All flyers to be distributed must:

o Support the basic educational mission of the district, directly benefit the students, and/or be of intrinsic value to the students or their parents/guardians.

o Be in PDF format and smaller than 6 MB.

    o Meet accessibility guidelines.

o Contain the name and contact information of the sponsoring entity.

o Be submitted in both English and Spanish in the same document.  Flyers can have multiple pages, and you will only be charged for one flyer. Please provide an accurate translation – be advised that Google Translate is not sufficient, and your flyer will not be approved.

o Peachjar will automatically add the following disclaimer in English and Spanish:

“DISCLAIMER: The activities, products, or services advertised in this flyer are neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Cullman City Board of Education or its schools.”

RENUNCIA DE RESPONSABILIDAD: Las actividades, productos o servicios anunciados en este folleto no están patrocinados ni respaldados por la Junta de Educación de Cullman City o sus escuelas.”

Flyers will NOT be approved that:

o Are lewd, obscene, libelous, or slanderous.

o Incite students to commit unlawful acts, violate school rules, or disrupt the orderly operation of the schools.

o Advertisements that would prevent the district from maintaining a position of neutrality on political and religious issues or that would create an appearance of favoritism on said issues.

o Position the district on any side of a controversial issue.

o Discriminate against, attack or denigrate any group on account of gender, race, age, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability or other unlawful consideration.

o Promote the use or sale of materials or services that are illegal or inconsistent with school objectives, including, but not limited to, materials or advertisements for tobacco, intoxicants, and movies or products unsuitable for children

o Solicit funds or services for an organization, with the exception of solicitations authorized in Board policy.
