Mrs. Lindsay Brannon
Personally, I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for twenty-three years. We are raising four talented, strong-willed children. Kaitlyn graduated from Cullman High School and is a senior at the University of South Alabama where she is studying physical education. My only son, Hunter, graduated from Cullman High School and is a sophomore at the University of Alabama where he plays football. My younger daughters, Juliana and Blakely, are in eighth and sixth grade and both play softball, volleyball, and basketball. As a working mom with four children, I have learned to be detail-oriented, structured, and passionate about those I love and care for.
Professionally, my career as an elementary educator began seventeen years ago. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, I received my first teaching assignment at East Elementary School in Cullman, Alabama. I taught third grade for six years and then taught fifth grade for another six years. I received my Masters in Elementary Education after my third year of teaching. In October of 2013, I was awarded the job of ARI Reading Specialist / Curriculum Coach at East Elementary, where I have spent the last five years of my career. In the summer of 2015, I graduated from the University of West Alabama with an Education Specialist degree in Elementary Education. In the summer of 2016, I graduated from the University of West Alabama with a Masters in Instructional Leadership degree. Recently, I became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading-Language Arts.
