Mrs. Brandi Outzen

My name is Brandi Outzen, and this is my fifteenth year at CCPS. I’m looking forward to sharing the joy of reading with our students this year. While this is only my second year working in the Library, I’ve worked all over the school in my previous years. I’ve worked everywhere from HeadStart, PE, Special Needs, and now the Library! I am married to Hugh Outzen and between us we have five children ranging in age from 20 to 36. I enjoy reading, listening to audio books, hiking, cooking, and travelling.

  • Students will participate in library media classes for thirty minutes on one day each week. Students will be able to check out ONE book from the library if they are in kindergarten and TWO books if they are in first grade. Students may take these books home and enjoy with their families for one week. They will return the book(s) each week and given the opportunity to check out another book.

Mission and Goals

  • Welcome to the CCPS Library website! Our school serves Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade Students. The CCPS Library operates on a combined fixed/flexible schedule, seeing 28 classes each week, plus many individuals and small research groups.  Our mission is to assist students and staff in becoming effective users of ideas and information and in developing a lifelong love of reading and learning.  During library time, students explore stories, informational text and technology through lessons and centers.
