Cullman Middle School is one of five schools which make up the Cullman City School System. In 2006, Cullman Middle School was a part of the first school district in Alabama to adopt a One-to-One Laptop Initiative, providing laptops and wireless internet access to students and educators. We have seen a significant improvement in student test scores, increased student attendance and improved discipline in the classroom. That initiative is still active in our school today. Currently, we use Canvas as our learning management system to engage our students and keep them, as well as our parents, informed.
Cullman Middle School was one of ten schools in Alabama to be named a 2012 CLAS Banner School. This award recognizes schools or programs that serve as outstanding educational models for other schools in Alabama. CMS is under the leadership of Mr. Jake Johnson, principal.
