Mrs. Heather Carter
Hello! I am so excited to have my dream job at Cullman High School teaching Pre-AP Biology and Anatomy, which are two of my favorite subjects! I am married to Joe and have a little girl in preschool. We are active members at our church and love the Cullman community. Joe is a 2001 Cullman High School alumni. His parents, Lynda and Keith Carter, are retired teachers. My mother, Phyllis Tucker was also a music/band teacher.
I graduated in 2004 from Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, TN. Wallace State recruited me to play softball 2004-2006, where we were State Champions in 2005. I moved to Charleston in 2006 and continued my education at Charleston Southern University before moving back to WSCC to pursue Physical Therapy Assisting. The Lord called me into education while I was in the PTA program and I never looked back! I got my Bachelor’s degree from Athens State in Biology, Secondary Ed. I earned my Master’s degree online through The University of West Alabama while teaching, coaching 2 sports (Volleyball and Softball) and pregnant with my little girl. I enjoyed my online classes! I just finished my Post-Master Certification in Instructional Leadership through the University of Alabama Birmingham. I am a devoted, lifelong learner! Ienjoy fulfilling my calling to teach and coach. I look forward to teaching our Bearcats and working with you! Please contact me if you need anything.
