Advancing Education Through Technology
Cullman City Schools was selected as a technology site visit location for the National School Board Association in the Spring of 2012. Only four schools in the entire nation were awarded this honor.
Cullman City Schools has been a national leader in the integration of technology in the classroom for several years. This is evidenced by being selected a Technology Leaders Network Salute District in 2009, by being awarded the Consortium of School Networking Team Award in 2011, and by student achievement that has improved our state ranking from 11th in 2005 to consistent top rankings over the past several years.
We are committed to providing relevant technological as a resource for improving student achievement, student engagement, collaboration, and communication.
As a result, the district provides students with greater access to technological resources that mirror real-world tools and applications, provides contact with students in other locations via video conferencing, provides access to courses not available on a local level with the assistance of the Alabama Department of Education Distance Learning program (ACCESS), and levels the playing field for students with limited access to technology.
