Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Tim Clemmons

I have been employed by the Cullman City School System for 35 years and by the Department of Defense of Dependent Schools in Zweibreucken, Germany for 2 years. I studied music at the University of North Alabama and earned a B.S. in music education.   I completed a Masters of Music Education (choral emphasis) at Jacksonville State University.

Composing music is a passion of mine.  I write music for television shows and film trailers.  I have had placements on American Pickers, Pawn Stars, The Voice, Simpson's Trailer, NBC Promo, and many more.  I also love teaching students about the great composers and seeing their excitement as they learn "cool" facts.

  • RECORDERS

All fourth grade students will begin a unit on the recorder next month.  The Alabama State Music Course of Study requires instruction in melodic instruments.  Each child will need a recorder that can be left in the music room for the entire school year.  At the end of the year, however, students will take them home.  If your child has a recorder, he/she should bring it to me before I place the order.  I want to make sure it is in good condition.  Your child will not be purchasing a tape recorder.  This is an authentic instrument as shown above.

If you need to purchase a recorder, please send $5.00 in an envelope like the sample below.  We need to have all money collected by Wednesday, August 31st.  Contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
