Cullman Middle School

Character, Citizenship, Scholarship

  • Cullman Middle School is one of five schools which make up the Cullman City School System.  In 2006, Cullman Middle School was a part of the first school district in Alabama to adopt a One-to-One Laptop Initiative, providing laptops and wireless internet access to students and educators. We have seen a significant improvement in student test scores, increased student attendance and improved discipline in the classroom.  That initiative is still active in our school today.  This year, we added Canvas as our learning management system to engage our students and keep them, as well as our parents, informed.

Cullman Middle School was one of ten schools in Alabama to be named a 2012 CLAS Banner School.  This award recognizes schools or programs that serve as outstanding educational models for other schools in Alabama.  CMS is under the leadership of Mr. Lane Hill, principal.  Mr. Hill was named as Alabama principal of the year in his division for 2013.

    Summer Meal Program

Schools is out!  But we still want to make sure all our students can get food this summer.  Cullman City Schools will host Summer Feeding Program from June 6, 2019 thru July 26, 2019.  The main feeding sites this summer will be Cullman High School and West Elementary.  I have attached the flyer and menu for June.  Please help us spread the word and let our parents and students know.
Also if any of your upcoming high school needs community serving hours, we would love to help them.
