  • CMS Alternate Schedule Information

CMS will operate on the alternate schedule until the end of the semester.  At that time, we will reevaluate the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic and make a decision between the traditional or alternate schedule for the start of the Spring 2021 semester.alternate schedule

This schedule will keep our students with their 0-period group throughout the school day.  The main premise behind this schedule is it will minimize the number of students who are quarantined because our students wil be with the same group throughout the school day.  Each student will have their same core teachers, but they will only have their elective classes on certain days of the week.  Mrs. Gragg has created a schedule for each student and they will be distributed on Monday, November 30th during 0 period.

  • Cullman Middle School is one of five schools which make up the Cullman City School System.  In 2006, Cullman Middle School was a part of the first school district in Alabama to adopt a One-to-One Laptop Initiative, providing laptops and wireless internet access to students and educators. We have seen a significant improvement in student test scores, increased student attendance and improved discipline in the classroom.  That initiative is still active in our school today.  Currently, we use Canvas as our learning management system to engage our students and keep them, as well as our parents, informed.

Cullman Middle School was one of ten schools in Alabama to be named a 2012 CLAS Banner School.  This award recognizes schools or programs that serve as outstanding educational models for other schools in Alabama.  CMS is under the leadership of Mr. Jake Johnson, principal.
