Hey there! My name is Regan Caldwell and I am the school counselor here at West Elementary. I am a Birmingham native and a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School. I completed my B.A. in English and Creative Writing at The University of Alabama, followed by an M.A. in School Counseling-- also at UA. Roll Tide! My husband, Brandon, is an RN and soon-to-be CRNA student at Samford University, and we live in Homewood. We have a precious dog, Squid, and we love to hike, cook, travel, and read!

 

As your school counselor, my role is to advocate for ALL students in their academic, social-emotional, and career development. I am passionate about supporting families and encouraging each student to embrace who they are. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of the American Counseling Association. In the wonderful world of school counseling, my interests are play therapy, stress management, and conflict resolution. Some of the services I offer are classroom guidance lessons on various topics, small groups, and short-term preventative and responsive individual counseling.
