The Cullman City Schools Foundation is a community partnership of individuals, businesses, industry, civic and educational interest committed to promoting academic opportunities and educational excellence.

In December 1995, a group of citizens met to establish a long range plan for an educational foundation. A seed grant of $20,000 was received from Alabama Power Company. On May 9, 1996 the Cullman City Schools Foundation was born. During the first year the Foundation raised $40,000 and awarded $32,423 in grant money to city educators. Since 1996, over $140,000 has been awarded to multiple city educators through various grants.
